LYRICS
BY MARK GAMMILL

Jesus is the Way
You’ve been down so many roads
How much farther will you go
Are you searching for the truth
Where’s your life been leading you
Are you tired of alone
Will you make it on your own
Are you looking for peace of mind
The answer isn’t hard to find
Jesus is the way
Jesus is the way
You can change your life today
Jesus is the way
Do you know he died for you
He did what he had to do
to wash away our sins
You can now be born again
Jesus is the way
Jesus is the way
All you have to do is pray
Jesus is the way
Just pray Jesus come into my life
I believe in you with all my might
Please forgive me of my sins
I want to now be born again
In Jesus name I pray
Because, Jesus is the Way
Jesus is the way
Jesus is the way
Please don’t wait another day
Jesus is the way

Crazy Love

Verse 1
You still text me late at night
saying you were wrong and I was right
how you always want me by your side
and the reasons why we should never fight.

I want to believe your words are true
but it's so hard for me to do
when I know that there is someone else
who still wants you for herself
thinking about our love
our crazy, crazy love.

Verse 2
That perfect night when we first met
my walls came down with no regrets
the way you spoke, the way you moved
I just wanted to be so close to you

We talked so late that night
you made me laugh so many times
you were so charming and so kind
I still can't get you out of my mind
thinking about our love
our crazy, crazy love.

Chorus
I will always be missing you
and the crazy things we used to do
the way you kissed and held me close
the way you looked into my eyes
I'll miss the most
and our love, our crazy, crazy love.
Verse 3
And now you're texting me to meet
you say one more chance is all we need
how it will be different this time around
and let's not lose this love we've found.

I want to believe in you I do
I miss the way I felt when I's with you
but I know how hard that it will be
trusting you again and you trusting me
and our love, our crazy, crazy love.

Haunted By Me

Verse 1
You thought you could get away with it
you thought you could cheat on me and forget
but now you're in for a really big surprise
cuz I'm back from the grave and you won't survive.

Verse 2
You see me in your dreams every night
you hear me in your ears all the time
you feel me in your bones everyday
you try and hide but you won't get away.

Chorus
You're haunted by me
you can't escape my wrath
you're haunted by me
you'll feel all the pain I had
you're haunted by me
I'll never let it be
you're haunted by me
you'll never be free.

Bridge
You can't fool me because I know just where you are
you can't run away because I'll follow no matter how far
you can't escape me because I'll catch you instead
you can't kill me because I'm already dead.

Moonlight

Verse 1
High Sierra roads
the car radio plays
summer nights were long
even longer than those summer days
sleeping bags in the trunk
her perfect smile on passenger side
arriving at a dark forest grove
after a long and dangerous ride.

Verse 2
With the car top down
the smell of fresh mountain pine
we listened to our favorite tunes
and drank a lot of our favorite wine
her dark enchanting eyes
I was lost within the spell
was our love just an illusion
it was hard for me to tell.

Verse 3
The smell of her dark brown hair
the feel of her body on mine
ignoring the simple truth
it was easy to be so blind
looking far into the heavens
knowing our future wasn’t bright
holding her for the last time
shadows forming in the moonlight

Chorus
Moonlight shines, moonlight betrays
an ominous sign that lights your way
beautiful in the dark but it never stays
it reminds me of you because you've gone away.

Lightning
Verse 1
He played his famed bass with skill and fire
being in a rock band was his greatest desire
he had a dark passion for that heavy metal sound
but he didn't realize the curse he'd also found.
Verse 2
He rocked the stage with all of his power
he hypnotized the crowd in his final hour
he was playing the last song as his fingers bled
when a bolt of lightning stuck his bowed head.

Chorus
He was cursed by the lightning
he was marked by a killer storm
he was doomed to meet his end
on that fateful night that he performed.

Bridge
No one knows why he was the one
no one knows the truth of what he'd done
some say he had made a very dark deal
with the devil himself for his musical skill.

Verse 3
He left behind a tall tale and more in his wake
he left behind a hard mystery to try and break
he left us a question that we all must answer
as he departed this world for the dark hereafter.

Dying Light

Verse 1
Unbendable bars, dim and falling stars
isolation kills, better where you are
words of a new song lie crumpled on the floor
unable to find the strength to write of this no more.

Verse 2
A candle on the wall begging more and more for life
losing its steady burn, losing its winless fight
dark shadows move across the room
knowing that its time
the end of all, the war of it
never will I find.

Chorus
Dying light, dying light
I'm losing all the will to fight
dying light, dying light
only darkness and the night.

Verse 3
In a cell of my own making
having lost the will to fight
now thinking of the final words
I know I need to write.

Too Late

Verse 1
I can't believe all the painful words you said
a testament against a love now gone and dead
and now its too late for us, I am now lost
such a terrible mistake with such a high cost.

Verse 2
I won't ever see your dark eyes again
what you did to us was really such a sin
our love was worth more than you did give
and now I'm gone my love, I no longer live.

Chorus
Too late, too late
it doesn't matter now what you say
too late, too late
it doesn't matter now anyway
too late, too late
no chance to change our fate
too late, too late
my love, you came too late.

Verse 3
No chance to change what's now left behind
when I was alive you just didn't have the time
so all your words today spoken at my grave
are just a waste of time and are all in vain.

Verse 4
I'm laying underground only darkness now
no comfort here, not even a subtle sound,
a single rose upon a stone you now place,
but I'll never know, you came too late.

Chorus
Too late, too late
it doesn't matter now what you say
too late, too late
it doesn't matter now anyway
too late, too late
no chance to change our fate
too late, too late
my love, you came too late.

Outro
All the regret and pain are yours to keep,
my love you'll always be haunted by me.

Jealousy

Verse 1
I see you every day with him
though he treats you like trash
he hits you and hurts you a lot
but you always take him back.

Verse 2
I watch you from a distance
I can't stand to see you suffer
I really want to make you mine
only when is what I wonder.

Chorus
Why can't you see
that he's no good for you
why can't you see
I'm the one that's true
why can't you see
that he's the enemy
why can't you see
that you belong to me.

Bridge
I just can't take it anymore
I have to end the jealousy and pain
I'm finally sure of what's in store
you'll never be with him again.

Verse 3
I wait for you outside your door
with a sharp knife in my hand
I see him walking beside you
I know its time to take a stand.

Verse 4
I stab him in the chest
he falls slowly to the ground
you scream and run straight to him
just as if I was not around.

Verse 5
I suddenly realize what I've done
I'm sure I've lost you now forever
so I turn the knife upon myself
because I know we'll never be together.

Repeat Chorus
Why can't you see
that he's no good for you
why can't you see
I'm the one that's true
why can't you see
that he's the enemy
why can't you see
that you belong to me.

Lost Vegas
Verse 1
Driving all night
I can see the city lights,
reminding me of you,
wanting someone to hold on to,
like you and I were, missing her.
Verse 2
Checking into a room,
many stories above, lost without love
darkness surrounds, what can I do,
nothing's the same without you.
Chorus
In Lost Vegas
here I am looking for you,
your ghost still haunts me
I wish it would break through
I just want to see you again
no matter what, no matter when.
Verse 3
Bar lights low, I wish I could go
where she is, out in the street,
the world is a stranger,
not the way we were, I still care for her.
Verse 4
I see her eyes, no its someone else,
reminding of how I always felt,
such a foolish heart, so far from home,
back to the room, but not alone,
with memory of the truest love
I cannot hold.
Verse 5
Gin, my fateful friend,
drinking all night again till the light of day,
I know its not the way, but letting go of you,
is so hard to do, with so much left to say.

Ouija Board
Verse 1
David lost his girl in a terrible car crash
he was left alone and now he's fatally sad
he misses her so much every day and night
he just wishes he could bring her back to life.
Verse 2
And then he found an old Ouija board
hidden away in an upper attic room
he asked it if there was any way
he could end all the pain and gloom.
Chorus
The Ouija board said yes there is
but you just might have to pay a price
go to her grave at midnight tonight
if you wish to again be by her side.
Always be careful what you wish for
you might not always like what you find
the Ouija board has a very dark side
it can play tricks with your heart and mind.
Verse 3
He decided to follow the board's advice
even with a fierce storm rolling in outside
he just wanted to see her and no longer feel lost
he didn't care about the consequence or cost.
Verse 4
He waited at her grave in the cold wind and rain
he almost made it all night but she never came
he felt so sick with a deadly chill in his bones
he realized too late he was never going home.
Verse 5
He died before dawn on her rain-soaked grave
he got what he wanted but in such a tragic way
they soon buried him there right next to her
together again but not in the way that he'd prefer.

Whiskey and Blood
Verse 1
Chasing over and over the same broken dreams
staring at an empty glass more and more it seems
trying hard to lose the pictures of you in my head
though I try I still see your dark eyes instead.
Verse 2
Bartender orders another shot for the pain
for you he says another one of the same
neon glowing, memories flowing
bleeding far into the past
over and over, hardly ever sober
how much longer will this last.
Chorus
Only whiskey and blood
no more waiting for your worthless love
as hopeless as one left drowning in a flood
with no chance for us, only whiskey and blood.
Verse 3
3 am, sleepless night again
hearing your soft voice in the rain
reoccurring dreams
the long and endless scenes
of losing you again.
Verse 4
In a quiet room I cannot move
the ghost of your face at the end
no matter how hard I tried
your words goodbye
rang over and over again
Verse 5
In a pool of red
on the floor near the bed
an old photograph of you
how sad it is to have come to this
what else was I to do.

Run Devil Run
(Verse 1)
In the heart of New Orleans under a crescent moon,
a man seeks some kind of charm to end his gloom.
with money in hand to a voodoo shop he's led,
there he saw a bottle "Keep evil at bay" it said.
(Verse 2)
A few drops put on his doorstep should do fine,
a barrier against all evil, like a protective sign.
but as dusk falls and the stars start to spin,
the strange potion activates and the devil grins.
(Chorus)
Run devil run, you must heed this lore,
the potion’s the key that opens the door.
run devil run, maybe you're inviting it in,
the door only opens and can’t be closed again.
(Verse 3)
The old walls start to shiver, the air turns cold,
a sinister laughter and the darkness takes hold.
the man now realizes, the charm's twisted jest,
he's opened his door to an unwelcome guest.
(Bridge)
It's become obvious, no more creeping doubt,
the potion's promise he's definitely without.
a bottle of malice dressed up as a friend,
inviting the very devil himself to come in.
(SOLO)
(Verse 4)
Remember this tale about a man undone,
beware the potion called "Run devil run"
for the charm that promises to keep evil away,
might just invite it in forever to stay.
(Chorus 2)
Run devil run, like playing with a loaded gun,
he wanted protection but a curse has begun.
run devil run, too late the deed is now done,
the potion was a lie and evil has won.

The End of Forever

Verse 1
You played bass with a fire in your soul,
living so fast you thought you'd never grow old,
in the shadows you thought you'd found your place,
embracing the dark side but it wasn't safe.
Verse 2
We rode the storm together side by side,
but now I'm left with only the tears that I cry,
echos of your laughter slowly begin to fade,
left alone in silence and I'm so afraid.
Chorus
This is the end of forever,
you thought you'd live on no matter whatever,
but now I'm left here in so much pain,
facing life alone without you again.
Verse 3
So many nights under those neon bar lights,
you danced with danger burning way too bright,
in the haze of your addiction, you lost your way,
and I'm left alone with words I can't even say.
Bridge
The stage is empty, and the lights are dim,
I still hear your voice like a haunting hymn,
in every note and in every song,
your spirit will live on though you're gone.
Verse 4
So, I’ll play your songs and keep the flame,
in the darkness I’ll still whisper your name,
though you're not here you will never fade,
in my restless heart you will always stay.

Repeat Chorus
But this is the end of forever,
you thought you'd live on no matter whatever,
but now I'm left here in so much pain,
facing life alone without you again.
